This Privacy Policy describes how this Chrome Extension (“Extension”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles user data.

1. Overview

The Extension is designed to analyze professional profile URLs provided by the user, check whether the profile exists in our internal database, and return a relevance or scoring result based on predefined evaluation criteria.

We do not collect unnecessary personal data and only process information required for the core functionality of the Extension.

2. Data We Process

a) Profile URLs

The Extension processes profile URLs provided by the user or detected on supported pages. These URLs are used only to identify and evaluate profiles.

b) Website Content (Limited)

The Extension may temporarily read publicly visible profile information from the active page to extract identifiers (such as name, title, or profile ID). Only data relevant to scoring or lookup is processed.

c) Database Lookup Results

The Extension sends the extracted profile identifier to our backend service to check whether a matching record exists. If a match is found, a precomputed rating or evaluation is returned.

3. How We Use Data

Checking if a profile exists in our internal database
Retrieving or generating a profile score or evaluation
Displaying results to the user inside the Extension

We do not use this data for advertising, profiling unrelated to the Extension’s purpose, or selling to third parties.

4. Data Storage

We do not permanently store personal browsing data from users. Only minimal logs required for system performance and debugging may be stored, such as request timestamps and anonymous request identifiers. These logs do not contain sensitive personal content.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Data is only shared with our own backend service for:

Profile lookup
Generating or retrieving scoring results

6. Data Retention

Profile lookup data is not permanently stored. Temporary processing data is discarded after evaluation. Any logs are retained only for operational monitoring and are anonymized where possible.

7. Permissions Usage

The Extension may request browser permissions to:

Access the active tab (to read profile URL/content)
Execute scripts on supported pages (to extract visible profile data)
Store user settings locally

These permissions are strictly used for core functionality and nothing else.

8. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect data transmission between the Extension and our backend services, including HTTPS encryption.

9. User Control

Disable the Extension at any time
Remove the Extension to stop all data processing
Avoid analysis by not triggering the Extension on profile pages

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the updated version with a revised “Effective Date”.
